It's #SoftLife or No Life
Hi, my love! Happy Monday!
So, tell me. Have you ever heard of the term "Strong Black Woman"? How does it make you feel and have you ever embraced this terminology before?
Well, back in the day, I used to think this was a good thing. I thought it implied that we as Black women can withstand adversity and still come out on top.
But as I started my journey in biblical femininity, I realized how toxic and unfeminine this thinking was.
For one, it normalizes the abuse and mistreatment of women. There was a time when Black women had no other choice but to be "strong". But that era came and went.
We should not be applauded for our ability to withstand adversity. We should not be applauded for our ability to endure emotional, psychological, physical, or mental abuse. We should not be applauded for our ability to struggle in general!
Biblical feminine softness is a principle that asserts women as the "weaker" vessels of men. Not as a diss, but to assert that women should be handled with care and gentleness, as well as to be led with understanding.
If you've felt like you've had to be "strong" for most of your life, you were probably stripped from your divine feminine softness.
In this week's video, I take you into a deep dive into biblical feminine softness. I teach you a few traits that derive from this principle in hopes that you will be able to tap into your feminine softness. ✨
